About jumpers for FDD operation setting

table of contents

Overview

In FDD manufactured after the mid-1990s, jumpers for setting the operation are omitted, and if you want to change the operation, you may need to modify the board. On the other hand, FDDs manufactured before the mid-1990s often have jumpers and switches for operation settings.

However, in some cases, the materials are not effectively utilized because they are not publicly available or are scattered.

Therefore, for FDDs that have jumpers and switches for operation settings and for which we know how to set them, a drawing summarizing the setting methods is shown below so that they can be used effectively.
